Genghis Khan’s birthday and “Mongolian Pride” will be celebrated tomorrow. For this purpose, G. Badamsambuu, a journalist and researcher of the Ministry of Education and Culture, told the civil servants many interesting facts about the legend of Genghis Khan, based on the research of scientists, and delivered interesting information.
In his speech, he said that Chinggis Khan is the founder of the Great Mongolian State, the founder of the Mongolian Empire, a great leader, political figure, military general, and a historical figure of the second millennium. In 1189, with the support of Wang Khan and his friend Jamuha, he gathered and united the country ruled by his father, and was crowned king at the Red Heart of the Black Heart.
Chinggis Khan passed away in 1227 after visiting western Tangad. After the death of the Great Khan, the Mongols brought his body back to their homeland and buried it according to tradition. It is recorded in the Scripture Conference, Mongolian Yuan scriptures, and Chinese and Mongolian historical sources. However, it was mentioned that scientists are still looking for the discovered place. On the initiative of the former President of Mongolia T. Elbegdorji, many scientists gathered together to determine the date of birth of Chinggis Khan, defined it as one of the first lunar new year at the beginning of winter and legalized it. Decree No. 159 was issued on reporting, researching, disseminating, esteeming, glorifying and perpetuating historical events, strengthening the valuable heritage of the state, and honoring the legend in order to strengthen peace.
The first portrait of an ancient historical person is called a portrait, and according to historical sources, the portrait of Genghis Khan was painted by the Mongolian artist Khorihasun in 1278, commissioned by Kublai Khan. There are two copies of the portrait created by order of Kublai Khan, and it is impossible to determine which one was copied from which. Currently, one is in the National Museum of Taiwan and the other is in the History Museum of China, and these museums dispute each other’s portrait as the original. In any case, scientists have studied and proved that these two very similar portraits belong to the 13th century.
Telling an interesting fact, from the childhood of Genghis Khan to the time he became the great king, the land we live in has a lot to do with it. In addition, the researcher mentioned in his report that the legend of Genghis Khan, which is kept in the Chinese museum, was taken from a person named Luvsantsereng’s mother who lived in this area. Every Mongolian is deeply aware of guarding the hearth of the Great Mongolian State, cherishes and follows the teachings, deeds and wisdom of Lord Genghis Khan, inherits the values and heritage of the state to his descendants, preserves harmony and strengthens the country. I am calling on the prophet of Genghis Khan to rise.
