Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Mongolia Katie Smith, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Mongolia U. Byambasuren, Director of the Australian Scholarship Program L. Enkhtuvshin worked in Baganuur district today. At the beginning of the meeting, the governor made a brief presentation of Baganuur district, gave information about the future policies and activities of the district, and exchanged opinions.
Australia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia, Katie Smith, expressed her happiness to visit the clean and comfortable Baganuur district and pointed out that Baganuur district has developed based on mineral resources and mining, which is similar to Australia. In addition, we discussed the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of Mongolia and Australia.
During the meeting, the Ambassador pointed out that more than 700 young Mongolians have been given the opportunity to study in Australia under the Australian scholarship program. Also, after the meeting, detailed information on Australian Government scholarships and short-term training for children and young people interested in studying in Australia was presented and questions were answered. During the visit, I visited the Baganur mine and familiarized myself with mine operations.
